Breakfast and Lunch in Miami

The
News Cafe
Located in the very heart of South Beach,
the News Cafe is the center of gravity of Ocean Drive. Cool, calm
and collected, the News cafe graces the cover of our Miami Menus
website. This cafe embodies everything about grabbing breakfast
or lunch at the beach in Miami. Watch Matt Damon, Jamie Fox or
Jessica Simpson drive by wishing they were you! Good food, great
drinks and an ambiance that puts the south of france to shame.
You can thank me later.
Balans
Located in brickell is situated in the heart
of miami's financial district. Surrounded by the miami's skyline.
Balans is in the newly developed mary brickell village.
Lincoln
Road Cafe
943 Lincoln Rd, Miami Beach
A locals' favorite, this relaxed, Cuban cafe
is very popular for its cheap breakfasts. For under $5, you can
indulge in a big portion of eggs any style, with bacon, ham or
sausage. Lunch and dinner specials are delicious and also cheap;
try the black beans and rice, or a chicken fricassee with plantains.
The few tables inside are usually passed up in favor of the several
outdoors, but in the evenings, the house is full inside and out,
as talented musicians, usually Latin, perform live out front.
Green
Street
Brimming-with-beautiful-people sexy outdoor
lounge: It features inviting sofas and comfortably stuffed chairs
on the sidewalk. This place is the coolest in Coconut Grove and
unique in Miami. Among appetizers, thew whole artichoke, the crab,
and the Mediterranean plate are outstanding. The broad selection
and variety of pastas are satisfying and delicate. A pasta called
Sylvano's Linguine with grilled chicken breast and pesto sauce
is a huge favorite. Among entrees even the simplest lamb burger
topped with goat cheese is first class. From 7 in the morning
until about 11 at night.
Casa Juancho
2436 SW 8th St, Miami
LITTLE HAVANA. Considered to be one of the
best Cuban/Spanish spots, this is Little Havana's most prestigious
restaurant, and certainly one of the most romantic. Enjoy live
music, provided by wandering musicians, while you feast on great
Cuban specialties. The menu is big and impressive, featuring some
of the juiciest pork anywhere. The mixed seafood grill is also
a top-notch choice, and the international wine list is among the
best in Miami. Linger over strong, fresh-brewed coffee and the
sinfully delicious crema Catalana dessert.
Deli Lane Cafe
7230 SW 59th Ave, South Miami
For a hearty breakfast that will fuel you
up for a day of work or play, Deli Lane is the place to go in
South Beach. The dining room is reminiscent of a classic diner,
though it is a slightly more sophisticated version of that American
classic. On a warm morning, you can sit outside with the newspaper
or a group of friends and enjoy fresh juices, hot coffee and everything
from bagels and muffins to omelets and French toast. Tasty lunches
and dinners are available later in the day.
Picnics at Allen's Drugstore
4000 Red Rd, South Miami
Picnics is one of the few places that has
maintained that tradition and has done so admirably. The 50s decor
offers a nod to the past, and the meals are as good as you remember.
Breakfast means eggs, bacon, home fries and biscuits with sausage
gravy. Everything is inexpensive and prepared with care. Lunch
is fun, too, with tuna melts, blue-plate specials and delicious
key lime pie. This is not your Grandmothers drugstore! or is it...?
